ELNA Sales Event

LuAnne Hartley, our Elna national education consultant, will be here Friday, August 13, 2010. During this time, she and our staff will on hand to demonstrate our machines. One of the machines that will be featured is Elna’s new 9600 Haute Couture. Elna's Haute Couture is the only compact machine with the talent to quilt and embroider as well as sew.

College/Game Day Sewing

WARNING...before you look at this, we do not have any more of this fabric in the shop! I am so sorry! I had this in my "stash" from last year, or the year before, and actually made the shirt last year and it was too big for my little guy. I just had to share it with you. We have some very cute fabrics that you could use for your outfit!

Little Girls Like to Fish Too!

The mom of the sweet little girl that is going to wear this loved these shorts when she saw them! I used the light blue fishing lure fabric for the shorts and pima red gingham for the contrasting ruffle and top. The shorts are Maja's Heirlooms Sophia and the top is Patterns by Figgy: Ofelia....both are super easy!

Using fabrics in a different way gives your child an original outfit! That's what I love about sewing!

T-Shirt Insert Class

The T-Shirt Insert class is Monday, June 21, 6-9 PM. I have had some questions about the class and wanted to make sure everyone is clear on the requirements. You must have a completed insert to put in, fully smocked and backsmocked. It really doesn't matter what size although I would suggest doing a smaller size insert the first time (not a full strip).

You will need the following supplies: completed insert, thread to match t-shirt, t-shirt, blue wash-away marking pen, sewing machine and all attachments, general sewing supplies. We will also be using a large ruler that is ideal for placing your insert. Any supplies you need can be purchased at the shop.

Remember that we have a wonderful line of cotton t-shirts at the shop! We have some colors in stock and just reordered white, boys' and girls' styles, in all sizes.
